There has been a whole lot of complaints lately from folks not understanding how to make thier sites. There was a global message sent to all of you, telling you how to do that. Please read these messages when they come to your inbox. It will stop a lot of the irritation you folks are feeling with not being able to set up. Starshine has also posted some instructions in the forums.
We cannot help the homepage loading slowly for folks who have dialup. I don't want to get rid of the Artist Showcase or the Musician Showcase...as far as the 'elevator' music, you're hearing on the home page, it's in the Artist Showcase...if you read what starshine put there, there is a speaker you can click on to stop the music.
Last but not least at all...is the issue of one of our members getting hate mail. PLEASE DON'T JUST BLOG ABOUT IT...LET US KNOW. WE CAN'T HANDLE THINGS WE DON'T KNOW ABOUT...HATE MAIL AND HARASSMENT WILL NOT BE TOLERATED HERE. PERIOD!
Hmmn, I'm curious about this hate mail deal...It's almost like we live in a gated community if you get right down to it...
I've tried numerous ways to get to my profile page without using my password but, the gate stayed shut until I used the key...
Then there is the problem of my understanding why or what motivates someone to post hate mail to begin with...
Opps, I need to correct that last statement...
I used to understand what motivated hateful thoughts until, I accepted myself for who I am...
Now, when something gets under my skin, I search for the why, not for someone to blame...

To do our best here...remember we're just a couple of ol hippies, ol tagworlders...no degrees in computers. I had to learn all over again here as well...and hell...I'm almost 50...so ya can learn new stuffs..even if ya are an ol dawg like me....hehehe
I played around a bit last night with the skins --tried different ones and finally found one I liked. It is different from other sites I have been on, but if I can get the hang of it, then anyone can.
The forum: I hope more people go check it out and comment. I was happy to see one here, as I it is a great way to great to know people and have some fun.
I just set up a new section in the forum..help guides..I have posted all the global messages we have sent out explaining how to do certain things and hopefully everyone will give them alook..the forum is a new thing to us tagworlders...but very handy once you get the hang of it..its sort of like a notice board...hehehe or big ol bulletin board
I know a lot of people tend to blow these articles off, but there is so much useful information up here, if people would just read it. It also takes a little initiative to try to figure some of this stuff out. If you can't get it the first few times and you've explored all the options you can think of (even the unlikely ones), there's no shame in asking for help. And I've found that if I'm polite and courteous when I do so (even when I'm extremely frustrated), I get much better results.
